I have always had a passion for trying new places, eating at restaurants that serve different cuisines, and just being able to capture various foods through photography. Since 2020 I wanted to start my own Instagram food blog account, but always been going in and out about it because I felt that there was a stiff competition and so many were already in it.
It was not until a few weeks ago where I revisited the topic and decided to go for it. I do not want to focus on the number of followers, likes, or becoming an influenser. I want to enter with the happiness and joy of sharing my passion for food.
I created my food instagram account because I wanted to record the various restaurants I have tried and share to those around me. I do not want to put the expectation of something big, but just enjoy the building of the account and just build content and stamina of posting.
Last week I started posting different contents and focusing right now on aesthetics. I know I still have a long ways to go, but I want every component to be as natural and perfect as possible.

I think I may have found the perfect edits, and now it is more of just building content. It is a lot of work and putting the time and energy, while juggling other things in life, but honestly this is becoming to be therapeutic for me.
Wanted to see what else I could do, so after consulting with one of my best friends, I have also decided to focus my energy on the "Food" section of the website and use it more on reviewing restaurants I have been to or different types of food that I tried. I realized that there was such a big community of food lovers that I would love to be part of, for networking and for even making new friends from. I want this journey to be a fun and creating my hobby into maybe something bigger in the future, who knows, but I definitely want to take it slow.
I also took Google Reviews seriously and been consistent, I would say, in posting reviews about places I have tried. I find it is a great outlet for me to share my thoughts at the same time support restaurants, whether local business or big chain restuarants.
This project definitely has a special place in my heart, because it also is connecting me with my late grandmothers. Growing up I have always been surrounded by food and by people who showed the passion of cooking and baking, which I feel is where I got my passion. I always enjoyed watching them in the kitchen and since high school found happiness in the kitchen, being creative and developing different flavours and products, from mains to desserts. Embarking on this journey will just make my connection to them that much stronger.
Let us see where this goes, but for now I want to enjoy the building phase and making the platforms as perfect as possible. My mindset is "slow and steady wins the race" and also to just enjoy the experience.
